Your vision, built to survive the real world

You already know what your business needs to build — the app your crews will actually use, the devices reporting in from the field, the data finally in one place. We are the technology partner that gets it built, shipped, and handed back to your team working. Twenty-five years of doing exactly that.

Shipped into industries that cannot afford downtime

We have spent 25 years in businesses where software has to survive contact with the real world — trucks, warehouses, job sites and hospital floors.

  • Fleet ManagementVehicle tracking, telematics and dispatch for crews working well outside coverage.
  • WarehousingScanning, inventory and floor operations that keep working when the Wi-Fi does not.
  • Commercial Real EstateBuilding systems, access control and tenant-facing apps tied to real hardware.
  • Construction ManagementSite capture, progress reporting and workflows for people who are never near a desk.
  • Medical DevicesConnected devices and companion apps where reliability is not a nice-to-have.
  • Contact CentresAgent desktops, telephony and CRM integration, and the automation that keeps routine calls off the queue.
  • & moreIf your business runs on people, vehicles or hardware away from an office, we have shipped something like it.
What we do

Wherever you are starting from

Some clients arrive with a signed-off roadmap and no capacity to deliver it. Others have an idea and a budget they need to protect. Either way the engagement is shaped around where you are trying to get to.

Fractional CTO

Senior technical leadership without a full-time hire — for teams that need direction, not just delivery.

  • Architecture and technology strategy
  • Roadmap, build-vs-buy and cost control
  • Hiring, code review and team mentoring

Team Augmentation

Drop-in senior engineering that ships from day one and leaves your team stronger than it found them.

  • Embedded delivery alongside your developers
  • Unblocking stalled or inherited codebases
  • Standards, CI/CD and review practices that stick

Idea to Product

Business analysis and discovery that turns a rough concept into a scoped, costed, buildable plan.

  • Requirements and technical feasibility
  • Prototypes and architecture proposals
  • Phased delivery plan with real estimates
AI

The model isn't the hard part. Your data is.

Almost no business we talk to is blocked by the model. They are blocked because the data it would need is trapped on devices, buried in a legacy system, or stored in a shape nothing can query. Clearing that path is the half of the job nobody sells you, and it is the difference between an AI ambition and something your business can actually run on.

  1. Capture it at the source

The most valuable data in a business is usually the data that never reaches a server — sensor readings, work logged in the field, what actually happened on the truck. Getting that off hardware and out of apps is what we have done for 25 years.

  2. Move it reliably

Background sync and transfer that survives dead zones, backgrounded apps, battery savers and networks that come and go. Late data is workable. Missing data quietly poisons every answer built on top of it.

  3. Give it a shape

Stored so it can be queried and trusted — documents, geo, time series, deduplicated and consistent. This is the step teams skip, and it is usually the reason the pilot never made it to production.

  4. Put it in front of the model

MCP servers, tools and retrieval that let an assistant read your systems directly — with the permissions, tenancy and audit trail your business already has to answer for.

With that groundwork in place the product work goes quickly — in-app assistants that actually know your data, speech and hands-free workflows for people who cannot hold a phone, and automation for the steps your team repeats every day.

Done responsibly, or not at all

Start where it pays

One workflow with a cost you can actually measure, proven before anything expands. Company-wide rollouts on a hunch are how AI budgets get cancelled.

Your data stays yours

What leaves your network, what a vendor may train on, and where regulated data is allowed to live — decided deliberately and written down before the first prompt.

People stay accountable

Anything touching money, safety or a customer keeps a person approving it, and the system records who decided what. The AI drafts; your team signs.

And we will tell you when AI is not the answer. Plenty of problems are still a good query and a better screen.

How we adopt AI responsibly
Why ShinySoft Technologies

Picking the partner is the riskiest call you make.

You are about to hand a piece of your roadmap to someone, usually on the strength of a case study you cannot verify about a client you cannot call. We would rather you checked us first.

The Shiny open source projects are the tooling other teams reach for when Bluetooth, background jobs, push notifications or location tracking have to work on real devices in the field — not just in a demo. Every line is public, every download is counted, and every issue we have ever fixed is in the open. Go read the code, check the numbers and see how we answer a stranger with a hard bug — before you ever get on a call with us.

The advantage

Quality, speed, cost. Most teams pick two.

Every project gets negotiated against the same three constraints, and something always gives. The reason is almost never talent — it is that most engagements spend their first months rebuilding the same foundation: device connectivity, background processing, offline sync, push delivery. None of that is the thing you set out to build; it is the toll on the way there. Ours is already built and already in production, and it comes with the project — so that corner is one you stop paying for.

good + fast → costs moregood + cheap → takes longerfast + cheap → breaks laterALL THREEShinySoftQUALITYSPEEDCOST
The trade-off only holds while someone has to build the foundation. Ours is already there.
  1. Quality rock solid

The foundation isn't fresh code. It's libraries with over 50 million downloads, hardened by thousands of developers across years of production use on iOS, Android and the cloud. You inherit every bug that was already found and fixed.

  2. Speed delivered faster

We start at your business logic instead of the plumbing. The infrastructure work that normally fills the first quarter is already done, tested and shipping — so the first demo is of your product, not of a connection.

  3. Cost without the premium

You fund the part that is genuinely yours — not a foundation that has been built a hundred times before. Less bespoke code also means less for your team to maintain once we hand over.

The return, in plain arithmetic

A budget buys engineering months. The question is what those months are spent on. On a connected product — anything with a device, a background process or an offline story — a large share of the first year goes into infrastructure that has no customer-visible value and that thousands of teams have written before.

With us

Illustrative proportions — the exact split depends on the project. What doesn't change is which side of the line you're paying an engineering team to rebuild.

Sooner

Revenue and feedback arrive earlier, because the schedule doesn't open with a quarter of groundwork.

Safer

The riskiest subsystems — background work, sync, device connectivity — are proven in production before your project starts.

Cheaper to keep

Less code you own outright is less to patch, port and staff for every year after handover.

The corner most projects sacrifice is one we already paid for, in the open, over 25 years — and it comes with the engagement. What that buys you is simple: more of the year goes into the product you set out to build, and less of it into getting to the starting line.
