The Shiny libraries are free and staying that way. What a support plan adds is a commitment: a bug report from your team gets triaged ahead of the public queue, by the people who wrote the code, inside a response time written into the contract.
Public GitHub issues stay open to everyone and keep getting answered on a best-effort basis, as they have for years. Every fix — including the ones a paying customer reported — ships in the public release. A support plan buys a response time and a place at the front of the queue. It does not buy a better version of the libraries.
Open an issue on GitHubPick by the size of the team and how fast you need the first answer. Every plan covers every Shiny library.

A support plan is for defects in the libraries. Being exact about that is what lets us promise a response time and keep it.
Feature requests from subscribers get priority consideration. Whether a feature goes into a library, and how it is scoped, stays our decision — the libraries serve thousands of apps, not one. If you need something built that does not belong in the library, that is a consulting engagement, and we are happy to quote it.
See consulting services →A minimal reproduction: the smallest project that shows the bug. It is the difference between a fix in days and a week of back-and-forth, and it is what makes the response times possible.
One bug, one time, no plan. The same triage and response as Business, for a single issue. If you find yourself buying a second, Starter is already cheaper.
$500–$750 per incident, depending on platform and complexity
No — and nobody honest can. Some bugs live in the operating system. What is guaranteed is the response time: a person who knows the code reads your report, reproduces it, and tells you what happens next.
Production is down or a core feature is broken for your users, and there is no workaround. Everything else is handled on the normal business-day clock.
Eastern Time (Ontario, Canada), Monday to Friday, excluding Canadian statutory holidays.
Usually, yes. Plans cover the current stable major version by default; older versions are supported by arrangement, because what that takes depends on how old the version is and which platforms it targets. Tell us what you are running and we will agree the terms before you buy.
No. Starter’s six reports reset at renewal. If you are running out, Business is the better fit.
Yes, on every plan. Starter and Business can also be paid by card. We will fill in vendor forms and security questionnaires for Enterprise.
No. Subscriber reports are answered first, but the fixes land in the same public releases — so every paid report makes the libraries better for everyone using them for free.
Yes. A response time we miss is worse than none, so we limit the number of Business and Enterprise plans. If they are full, we will say so and put you on the list.
Tell us which plan, how many developers and which libraries you use. You will get an agreement and an invoice back within one business day.
